What We Do
The Geological Association of Canada (GAC®) is a national multi-disciplinary geoscience organization with representatives in all Canadian Territories and Provinces as well as the United States, Europe and other parts of the world. The GAC® makes significant contributions to the promotion and development of the geological sciences in Canada through publications, awards, conferences, meetings and exhibitions.

Awards
GAC® provides recognition for prominent Canadian geological contributions by a series of national awards including the Logan, Ambrose, W.W. Hutchison and E.R. Ward Neale medals, the Yves Fortier Earth Science Journalism Award, and more.

Our sections are local groups composed of members of all segments of the geoscience community and provide a focal point for the local geoscience community.
Divisions
The GAC® has 13 speciality Divisions, which are made up of GAC® Members interested in specific branches of geoscience or who may be concerned with the application of geoscience to specific fields of endeavor.
